About the project
Lo-Fi Cherokee was an annual festival, 2012–2024, that filmed live music performances inside Cherokee Street businesses in St. Louis. Each edition brought musicians and a film crew to the street for a single day of performances.
Bill Streeter created the festival and directed and edited its music videos with a rotating production crew. The videos documented the performers and the businesses that hosted them.
11 one-day editions were held from 2012–2024. The festival paused in 2020 and 2021 because of COVID-19 and concluded in 2024.
